i7-8700K

Duidelijkheid of details?
Ultra VS Hoge kwaliteit instellingen in pc-spellen

Hey folks.
I resently sold my i5 6600 with some other stuff expecting to upgrade when the 9th Gen Intel chips released. (which I thought was September 1st. Not October..) now the question is? Should I wait for October and watch the price fall of the i7 8700k or pay more and get the 9th Gen. My budget is only capable of the pricerange of the i7 8700k. Is it worth to wait and see the change in price? Or?
I'm going to run on an AsRock Taichi and should get at least 5.1-5.3 on water cooling.
We know that the i7 9700k is 8C/8T and there's literally a couple of games that can truly take advantage of more than 4 cores, let alone 6 or 8!
Plus quite a lot of games still benefit from HT, so makes the decision between 8700k/8086k and the 9700k much easier.
Assuming my 8086k is a well binned chip and I can sit at 5.1-5.3 on all cores, I truly don't see how the 9700k or even the 9900k could offer much more than a modest improvement.
It's not a different CPU architecture, it's just soldered coffee lake so for gaming any benefits over a nicely binned 8700k/8086k are not worth the extra money, and if you already have this chip, certainly not worth the upgrade if you use your PC mostly for gaming.
If you have other things you do, streaming or video production then sure, the 9700/9900 will be a good option, but if you are like me and 99% gaming, there's likely no value for the additional cost that intel will of course charge.
Cheers.
Hello community,
which CPU cooler i need for Intel i7-8700k or i7-9700?
Some guys recommend me this: http://
Is this cooler strong enough?
Hi all ,
I'm currently using a i7 4790 with a 1080ti ,16gb 1600 ram @ 1440p 144hz , no massive issues just feel i should be getting more fps from my card (60-80 fps on new tombraider ultra , 60/70 on AC origins drops below 50 sometimes on ultra)
I've been looking at i7 8700k mobo 16gb ddr4 bundles for and £700 would i get much benefit from this expensive upgrade?
I have been using the i5 4590 and now I am going for a full upgrade which includes RAM,MOB etc.The internet is blowing up about how awesome the i7 8700K is for gaming but nobody seems to talk about the i7 8700.Can someone please tell me which one to go for,the non K version or the K version. Please keep in mind that I will not be overclocking even if I get the K version and will the difference in gaming performance be significant when both CPUs are running at stock settings.
I have just upgraded to a 1080 TI and I will be needing a new CPU to go with it. Right now I am thinking about one of these two.
Cant seem to find many great benchmark comparisons between them. The I5 9600K is about 70 euroes cheaper, but is it worth it to spend the extra 70 euroes for the 8700K?
I am gaming on 1080p 144hz.
So I recently installed an i7-8700k with a Hyper Evo 212 as the cooler and I'm not sure if my temps are where they should be, also before asked yes its running at stock and not overclocked.
When I check the bios after a shut down shortly after following a game being played, it says its at 60-63 or so. But when I'm using programs such as HWinfo or CPUID HwMonitor, it says that sometimes my maximum it hits is like 78-80 or so while staying at around 60ish.
Today is relatively a hotter day then usual in California (93 degrees) So I'm not sure if that comes into play. Or if I potentially seated my Evo incorrectly? Not sure.
I have an AsRock Z370 mPro4 as my motherboard and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, it's my first time building a pc so I have very little knowledge about processors.
Both the i7 8700k and i5 8600k have similar single core and quad core performance according to user benchmark, I have heard that most games don't use more than 4 cores.
So I'll be playing in a 1440p 144hz IPS g-sync monitor with GTX 1080 and mostly games like counter strike, pubg and fortnite
are these normal idle temps for the 8700k my setup is as follows
cpu- not overclocked stock with mce disabled
gpu gtx 1080
Motherboard z370 Asrock k6 gaming
case fans are 2 jetflo 120's intake front of case
rear fans 2 jetflo 120s in push pull config on my corsair h80iv2
using corsair link to view my temps cpu package temp sitting idle is at 33.0C
gtx 1080 at idle is 53C
MB temps are 31-33C
ram is at 33.5/34.5C
and the rad temp is 31.7C
as I said I have no overclock just want to make sure these are normal temps for idle for my setup or what I can do to improve temps, under load can get up to 65C 100% can start to touch 68-69 at some points have my case fans set to 80% and the rad and pump to performance mode in corsair app
Hello guys ,
I am upgrading my CPU and I wanna ask your opinion.
I've read some threads with a lot of different opinions on which cpu is better.
Mainly I use my pc for gaming , sometimes rendering videos (not to often tho) , some photoshop and that's basicly it .
Which CPU do you think I should buy and why?
